STO has an embarrassment of riches. Some huge current projects to digest. CAPEX is huge. Dorado etc is a world class asset but at least 3rd in line (behind Barossa, Pikka). I think STO is keen to merge with WDS which should have the capital to bring forward Dorado etc. Price for STO is probably the sticking point. I've heard STO is worth $10+. With SP at $8 that is at least 25% premium for WDS to digest.
STO are growing rapidly. WDS going well too. Just need WDS to come to the table with a good offer. Gallagher will drive a hard bargain. WDS want a bargain. 50/50 IMO. Happy to hold all 3 companies. So much potential.
Gallagher referred to decommissioning issues in WA. Anyone know what this is?
