    you're assuming most people do not have money issues. Like my multi millionaire neighbour who believes that everyone is like him and wants to continue to buy in shops "because they want to see the TVs work". Yes, that is true, if they can afford it. But when money becomes tight then everything changes. Not everyone is in your position where you have a lucky wife that can enjoy the fruits of her labour. What about those who never get to experience the pleasures of their hard work, but see it go into their mortgages and to the child minding centres instead of overseas holidays, etc. Once in that situation then everything changes, including attitudes as well.

    My friend is looking down the barrel of an expensive divorce because his wife has had enough of working in Coles late in the night. He earns 65k, not a bad sum, but it's not enough, and his mortgage is only 200k - well below the average borrowed today. That is what life is like on the other side of the fence you remain ignorant to.
