Interesting also Toyota just announced a $1.3 billion investment in EV plant in US to make an SUV for 2026. Guess they are making up for lost time or just easing the transition so they aren’t first and get speared like some others. Toyota has deep manufacturing roots in the US as you would expect from the world’s largest automaker with established mid-west base just up the road from Texas and just down the highway from Detroit. New supply chains are starting to take shape!
