I think Boom69 just gave you his answer. Merger and PCL are totally different, and I can't see the two impacting each other in any way.
To me, the question is what advantage does WDS get from making an early decision? They have the approx 2months from last announcement plus 6 months from receipt of last data. Why make a formal decision? By waiting they get more analysis of 3D plus any extra information from what is happening at other sites. They can still make contingent arrangements for drill rig or anything else. Who knows what will happen in roughly 8 months. If I was WDS I would not be in any rush to make a formal decision. This does not stop a lot of work being done in the background. As the CEO/Director of WDS I am in no rush As a PCL holder, I hope we get the decision today
