Interestingly the 3lt turbo version of the Holden VL commodore was the first nail in the death of the mass built V8.
Simon being a Kiwi, I'm sure he can't appreciate how high praise that was from Hedley.
Aukland was my second home growing up (my dad's a kiwi) and I'm roughly the same age as Simon.
Back then NZ was full of cheap imported cars from Japan.
Aussie built cars couldn't compete on price with the cheaper Japanese imports.
I posted that Hedley interview on the OBM threads, much to Lady Traders disgust.
I didn't think he was overly critical of OBM, HW came across as just a little wearier of potential ramp up issues for OBM.
