I work in the CBD and i am often in Pyrmont around Harris St as a few of my design consultants are located there. No idea what masses of homeless people you are talking about, I have not noticed this and I'm there pretty frequently. Pyrmont as a suburb is actually very clean.
There are homeless people down near Wentworth park sure, but it is literally no different to any other parkland area in the CBD.
