There's no doubt the wifi application was a commercial dud, but it did prove that the FAA was prepared to accept CVM as an alternative method - if we didn't have that wifi approval would we believe any CVM application could ever be accepted? I think not.

I'm sure everyone has observed a noticeable shift towards the use of CVM as part of the structural health monitoring tools, in fact an accepted advanced technology that ultimately will be used by OEM's and airlines in years to come. It's been a long, hard and frustrating grind, but it's coming and once in use will be most rewarding for those that stay the journey IMO.

I take comfort, as Louis19 remarked earlier, that Ross Love is now captain of the team, someone who I believe we can all trust, someone who clearly is very committed, and is capable of making SMN a very successful and profitable aviation based business.
