    Extremely interesting!

I don't think the guy they interviewed - Ben Kikuchi - was the MAST trial complete response patient though. He explicitly says that "it was just the standard chemotherapy route for me." The interview shown is definitely just a few seconds of a longer conversation - so it is certainly possible that he was later involved in the IMU trial - but I don't think so. It would be a shockingly bad edit if they edited out the fact that he was actually cured by the company and treatment that was the focus of the whole story.

I think Ben was interviewed because he is on the Leadership Team of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Ben is responsible for their "National Corporate Development." They also have a clip of an interview with Steve Holmes, who started the Foundation. You can check their website at: https://cholangiocarcinomaaustralia.org/about/. Unfortunately their website isn't working properly for me - the drop down menus are glitching, so I can't access the menu item titled "Treatment Options" - which I am curious to see.

Worth noting also: In Yuman's brief clip he says "... in some cases, we had complete eradication of tumours." He is definitely using the plural there - ie more than the one Complete Response reported so far. It could have been a verbal slip - but that would be surprising for someone as careful and as closely involved as Yuman. The complete transcript of his words is: "Clearly, ahh, it slows tumours, some tumours, down, kills other tumours and even ah in some cases we've had complete eradication of tumours."

I've been wondering how this news item was initiated - did it come from an approach by IMU, or from the Foundation?

Either way - great publicity and will hopefully help attract patients for the Cholangiocarcinoma expansion cohort. The second brief clip of LC seems to be part of a longer conversation in which she is talking about the possibility of getting Vaxinia approved faster than is usually the case for a new treatment.

    Cheers

    Dave
