In general, the insurance sector in Australia is a mess and characterised by rampant price gouging.
With the likes of the RACV no longer serving the best interests of its members but instead those of its executives with increased remuneration, bonuses and redirection of members' funds to build expensive resorts etc that the great majority of RACV members never use.
