Time and patience has always been an investors greatest weapon. Five years goes fast...I wouldn't do this with stocks that are in cycle.. LYC is most recent one I sold out at mid 7 digits I was down 60% during Covid crash...but Neodymium and Prasedomium NdPr was Next Gen type Material science and required for magnets in Next gen applications. On the big end of town ASX, MIN, IGO, DMP are prime to accumulate for two years.
Trading needs a different type of skillset and different type of mentality.. you need stop losses and take profit targets. It makes more sense to trade with the trend than against it - but investing thats simply foolish.
Try to combine the two and it ends in disaster.
