Having read for the 12th time now that a buyback would change everything for the better, here are a few thoughts on the matter. I also believe that a share buyback program would support the SP and temporarily halt short selling. But what happens afterward? Another buyback? I don't think it could be funded annually from the company's profits. Shorty could return and drive the SP back down if the buybacks don't repeat or if there is no prospect of them recurring. What we need is progress in the pipeline, progress in communication, and progress in meeting outlooks. It's as simple as that. Better than any buyback program.
