Great to see ongoing discussions progressing towards a US/Argentina deal being done. Whatever the form of the "deal", whether it be an FTA or a Minerals Strategic Partnership (MSP), the benefits of Argentine based Lithium producers being able to supply into the US supply chain and qualifying for the concessions under the IRA are huge!
I've been watching this for quite some time - since the inception of the IRA in the US - and it has been shouted down by the usual suspects at every mention. It is great to see the ongoing progress but I'll save my unbridled celebration to once the formal deal is done between the US and Argentina.....tick, tock.
In the meantime, it is worth noting the statement about "recent regulations allow the US to use battery components from non-FTA countries".
