    "c" so they want special/different laws than everybody else.. .. since '67 when the referendum enabled federal Govt to make laws specific to Aboriginal people, yes there have always been laws made specific to Aboriginal people - they simply want to have input into what new laws are made, eg, Howard's Intervention, and how they are to be applied.

    as for a) the culture, from the posts on HC there is little to zero respect or acceptance of the values of their culture; and b) they don't have a say in how laws apply on their own lands.

    would you like laws specific to you on your land with no say in the application? what you do on your private property is sacrosanct, unless it infringes on criminal law. and that applies to everyone.
