My EV takes me a few seconds at home to recharge. I don't need to stop to refuel at a smelly petrol station. Weight is much the same as a Camry for my Tesla Weight claimed / verified EU ; 1730 kg / 1845 kg.
Petrol is non renewable, my Tesla is fuelled from the sun for free and battery is warranted for 8 years to be 80% of the new capacity, it can be repurposed as a home battery or recycled. Last time I recycled petrol is when I coughed after smelling it crossing the road
