Jberry I absolutely share your healthy scepticism when it comes to the politics of this stock, and the longer it takes for a decision the more I start to think they are trying to scheme up a Scomo scenario that they think will work.
Having said that I agree with @Hoodlum and have posted similarly in the past. The Feds have a perfect storm to approve without to much concern if they wish to take it up.
Firstly Scomo completely destroyed this process by his illegal shenanigans
Secondly we have explored every possible avenue to deny this permit without success
Thirdly unlike our LNP counterparts we are committed to following the law and due process as any good government should
Oh yeah and fourthly here you go NSW have some gas courtesy of your beloved ALP.
That's what I'm hoping anyway.
