Thats the way a democracy works....but apart from the countries elected reps ......the will of the people has been tested in polls and they say two thirds want to fight on .....plus the way they fight .....against theodds , under weaponised , a quarter the pop of russia and undersupplied ......if the Ukrainian people never had a strong will to win they wouldn't be holding putins forcs back as they are now .

On the other hand .....putin is filling his forcves now with we are told 3,000 Nepalese mercenaries , Africans , Georgians Tajiks , Kazakhs ,Syrians etc and they have tried as far as Cuba ......it's the russ don't really have the belly for this wr or such a large country wouldn't need to fill it's ranks with foreign mercenaries .
