both coy's are of significant size to achieve solid results WITHOUT the merger. The failure to do so is a POOR reflection on both coy's current mgmnt & board for not achieving this. The merger has huge problems. If any benefits are achieved it is only by adopting huge risk. AISC of both coy's are far too high & only shows poor planning. Gold price has increased 50% in recent years yet AISC has doubled. Gold coy's should be raking in the cash but instead they are throwing money into unnecessary exploration at a time of huge input costs & shortages.
Gold coy's should be milking every mine they own & pay solid dividends & wait for costs to come down rather than waste money sourcing labour, machinery & materials at a time of shortages. I've been thru his cycle too many times to only see good coy's decimated & shareholders left with nothing but regret.
