This is best offset by having six or preferably a dozen well-picked miners across the sector. Presuming that is where you want to invest. Otherwise, it's mainly a high-risk enhancement to your other investments e.g. superannuation fund.

I hope you'll pardon my comment but because HC tends to focus on individual stocks the basics tend to be ignored almost all the time. ( And I'm seeing carnage and a lot of anger in small cap miners expressed elsewhere at present, with the exception of Uranium).
