Would a solar farm generate power if hailstones the size of golf balls smashed them??
Had windmills been in the path of the storm be still generating and be standing upright with all blades unaffected?
Would your connected battery work 24/7 and supply all your home power needs?
Coal fired power systems have protection devices and measures in place if or when needed in certain circumstances to protect the infrastructure. From recollections, Sth Aust had power outages a while back due to tower collapses - the power stations were fine. So, part of the answer is to design and install towers withstanding higher wind ratings. The answer for woke is to simply destroy the complete infrastructure.
Shame the govt did not blow up or destroy Loy Yang earlier (like with Hazelwood) and then have the storm with many more to come - wonder who the woke would blame for the elongated power outages - how long would that piece of string be with rolling ongoing blackout periods? Can just hear it - the power outage is the fault of fossil fuel failures.
You want reliable power 24/7 then build more coal base load - modern systems are highly efficient and reliable. Then spend money on improving the distribution network. If they can build bomb proof bunkers surely not too hard to provide reliable and cheap energy. Not too hard but need some in politics with the power to think - many are suffering with a continuous blackout.
How ironic - the power bills in Victoria used to be some of the cheapest in the country - now blackouts coupled with increasing energy bills and tons of spoilt food, business losses and increases in insurance costs.
Welcome to woke green heaven - better get used to it - there's more on the way. Sure is man made climate change - political woke changing climate land.
As for green - don't forget to plant more trees - a lot is needed just to replace all the trees lost to man's handywork - but it won't happen in woke land - they need all the cleared land they can get for their version of renewables and then they blame fossil fuels, your ICE vehicle and cows farting after every storm.
