Before the storms, certain areas did have power cut and in some areas air conditioners were remotely switch off to reduce grid load. Shedding.

Alcoa had to cease to reduce power usage.

So there was not enough power.

But later in the arvo storms damaged infrastructure and created a second event, that had nothing to do with usage exceeding supply.

Two events occurred in the same day.

One shows a supply issue, second shows lack of redundancy in transmitting of power.

Also 500 mobile towers down, shows an issue in the telco sector also.

In 2021 we had no power or phones in my area for 9 days, no phones was because backup generators on the towers has x hours.

The backup capacity not addressed as towers went offline in 6 hours once fuel ran out.

This country as many infrastructure issues to address.
