I don't get how Towers failing near Geelong the western side of Melbourne, opposite side to Loy Yang Power station should trip Loy Yang A and not others. What about Loy Yang B, where does its output go? Loy Yang A is the Rolls Royce of Victorian Power Stations and I believe the Steam bypass systems should not have shut down the Boilers even if the Generators went off line. Steam should have gone straight to the Condensers so as to allow a quick recovery by allowing the Boilers to stay operating. Did this system work? Remember that Loy Yang A was the reason Jeff sold our SECV. Sorry he gave our Decades of investments in our power system away. The reason for the mess we have now.
