you are very amusing to read. You try to tell people you are balanced and disapprove of both sides and then use language to describe the acts of the Israelis that makes it very clear what you really think
i I think you’ll be hard pressed to find me use such extreme language for only one party. My posts have been intended to put some context forward since where we are now is the consequence of decades of poor behaviour
I am not at all concerned with whether you find me a dog whistler. That’s your opinion and nothing to do with fact. Just as the Palestinian acts of terror which are well documented over decades have led inexorably to this point as revenge and retribution create even more hate and more need for retribution on both sides so too the israeli actions have led here as well.
I believe that what is happening now will have unintended consequences for Netanyahu. He is, in my view deluded and calling it a war seems to me that he has tried to repeat history of previous wars which have resulted in acquiring territory
the trouble is he is not fighting against a sovereign nation. So his approach, which is to bring the devastation and fury of war on a whole population is vicious, misplaced and appalling.
I don’t think, and never have done, that the situation in the Middle East can be solved this way. Not by demonising either party. By encouraging either party. By justifying either party
so tell me what do you think Israel should have done after the Hamas attacks. Take a wee peek back at history and tell me where it might have ended? Tell us what alternatives you’d have advised the Israelis to take?
Oh and btw your choice of language towards me in response to my post is extreme. - there is nothing in mine that says I am justifying Israel or Hamas. I disapprove of both of them but prefer to try to maintain some sense of perspective - both about other posters and about what is before us. You on the other hand have shown over many posts on this and other threads that you have a preference for drama. if you want to keep doing as you have done before - try to make out I am something I am not - go right ahead.
