Bit of a funny thing to ask actually RE, if you think about it. Over the past 12 months, someone all-in on GLN has seen their capital base erode as much as -74%. Across the same period you could earn/save the equivalent of +13% (pre-tax) just by putting one’s capital base into a mortgage offset account. Shouldn’t you be asking the people with a ‘held’ status how they plan on making money?
To answer the question, I follow the Galan story in detail because it’s a pretty interesting one, will be amazing if JP gets all the way from Uber-driving analyst to lithium chloride producer. In the meantime I will watch and make money elsewhere. As Charlie Munger says, the money ain’t made in the buying and selling, but the waiting.
