    @acorn "renewables are replacing fossil too quickly". ....... I disagree. during the Lib terms investment in renewable energy was retarded by policy and storage was deliberately mucked around with, eg. Snowy 2. moreover the grid was ignored for 9 ***kin years!

    cost savings eh.... yeh didn't that work well.

    I'm not "hoping" for SMRs..... I merely consider them inevitable. they are a safer option, less waste, greater efficiency and will be less capex intensive and easier to instal.

    but none of us know what the next 10 yrs holds so, imo, its not a viable option to write anything out of the equation. such is more ideological than sensible consideration.
