This is an easy one. I NEVER intended to invest in Graphite.

I am a loooooooooooooooooooooooong term shareholder - back even before we were Black Rock. We were known as GREEN ROCK (Code:GRK), and I was extremely excited about the fact that Green Rock were looking at HOT ROCKS in the Perth hills - along with other places. These hot rocks would be able to produce centuries of very low cost steam to make really green electricity.

From memory, the granite in the Darling Scarp is sitting there at over 300 degrees Celcius, more than hot enough to generate super-heated steam. IIRC, GRK had a development power plant in SA, but access to a reliable drill rig, and some fool dropping a drill-bit into one of the bores buggered everything up. We nearly went belly-up until someone on the board managed to save our bacon, and we ended up in Africa - go figure. If this works out, I will be very rich!

FYI, the rocks are hot because they contain Uranium, as they have for MILLIONS of years. As the uranium breaks down through spontaneous fission, it gives off large quantities of heat - which is trapped in the rocks, basically forever.

WHY is the uranium there? Blame the Big Bang and 13.4 Billion years of history.

As a side note, many years ago, an idiot "Journalist" from The West Australian - a biased fool named Tim Treadgold - penned a hatchet job on GRK, trying to make out that we were a "Nuclear Power" advocate. It absolutely made my blood boil, and you don't want to know what I would think over doing if I ever meet this particular individual in the flesh!

A uneducated reader would have determined that were were making a Nuclear Reactor from his words, very poor ethics from this man. I have tried to find the story, but my Google Skills are no match for his very likely skills in scrubbing that story from the internet in embarrasment! It was very obviously a hit piece from someone opposed to the GRK business model.
