nup ----------- believe me, French friends now ask what Oz is doing this week - as they roll on the floor laughing at some of Oz's antics
at first it became 'you're kidding' with a little laughter, that turned to 'really, that's actually retarded' and lots of laughs
now as they learn more about Oz - because French in general actually know about Crocodile Dundee and AC-DC and that's about it - bar some idea that we have kangaroos and they box
but as they learn about Oz and how it has things like 'if you're a blackfella, tick the box' - that one leaves them with their mouth open -
and how Oz up until about the 60's only had beer drinking swill houses and nothing like French bars or English pubs where you couldn't even get a coffee or a tea -------- again ----------- what went wrong there? and lots of laughter
then, of course that Oz has no car efficiency standards ---------- along with Russia ------------ 'they what, no, surely not?'
and then, that some states in Oz don't even have child labour laws - so, you get questions about if Ozzies still stick little kiddies in chimneys ------- the answer is ----- only at Mc Donalds and Kentucky Fried
so, yeah -------- there's lots of laughter around when people begin to learn about Oz
