It won’t work simply because China doesn’t care. You can tariff whatever you want, but China buying directly nickel directly from Indonesia for its own consumption. What we going to do? Absolutely nothing!
Hate to say it, but stick to copper, iron ore and met coal BHP. Potash alright too. Put nickel in care and maintenance for now and revisit it if it becomes viable 5-10 years down the track.
