I've close family, friends and former work colleagues of Jewish parentage. When I ask them about the 'war' they express dismay and concern for the future - not only for Jewish people living in Israel but those living outside Israel as well as for the suffering of Palestinians and the destruction of their homes etc.
The news overnight that the USA under President Biden has re-pledged it's intention of renewing / replacing weapons/ munitions Israel has already expended is at odds with its insincere noises about pause / ceasefires / humanitarian aid etc. They've dog-whistled to Netanyahu's regime that those in charge of the USA support the continuation of the conflict and to Netanyahu that's green lighted the looming slaughter at Raffa.
