    That danger exist with anything that is flammable.

    When they first made commercial use of oil and gas, it had the same problems - cars catching fire, gas poisoning peoples and refineries exploding.

    Its not unusual thing with new materials and technologies.

    When they first introduced Li batteries on phones and laptops, it sometimes combust.

    But we have gone a long way since those days.

    Now, they have Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries which are extremely hard to catch fire.

    Most new EV cars are using Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.
