As I said elsewhere, it should be up to the Australian people and not the government on what type of energy they use, if someone wants "renewable energy" they can go with a 100% renewable energy co, if they don't mind thermal coal, they should be able to continue to do that too.
The Aus government shouldn't limit the options for the consumers, they should continue to let the consumer decide.
The government also need to get back to the basics, dealing with the real issues and stick with that..
