And the MRRT will affect COK eventually but not any time soon, because (as I understand it) the companies are able to balance their capital development costs against the profits (sort of like how investors can use a capital loss to balance a capital gain before they need to start paying CGT on it).

So it will be many years before COK is looking at paying off that capital development.

And to be honest a lot of COK's mines won't be super profit territory under the new definition. I can't see the Bowen mines in particular making the long-term bond rate plus 7% in profits unless the PCI price goes through the roof.
