"08:05GMT 27Sept2010-Red Rock Resources hits record high on newspaper tip
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shares in Red Rock Resources gain nearly 80 percent to hit a record high of 7.475 pence and rival Goldplat rises 37 percent to 14.75 pence after the Mail on Sunday's Midas column tips both stocks.
The Midas column cites analysts as saying shares in both companies are worth nearer 20 pence and says investors looking for a way to benefit from current enthusiasm for gold should have a punt.
Edison published a research note last week saying Red Rock could be worth over 20 pence a share based on recent updates on its interests in Australia, Columbia and Kenya. Edison gave Goldplat a valuation of 20.12 pence a shares.
