one interviewee on 7.30 last night described the risk of consequences from the bonded asbestos as "extremely low".
when I removed bonded asbestos from my home I checked the requirements for disposal and so double wrapped in builders' plastic sheeting and sealed to be air tight. I had to pay extra to leave my load for appropriate disposal.
with all the regulation and monitoring of asbestos, how do small pieces of bonded asbestos make its way into mulch? such material is not a natural fit with green waste, eg tree branches and trunks, bark and leaves. are these suppliers of mulch sourcing their ingredients from natural sources or the rubbish tip?
also, why the absolute media panic over small pieces of bonded asbestos where the risk of inhalation of fibres is as remote and the Pluto.
