Haha, I was going to wait till Friday arvo to see if we hold $4 as it has been a significant hurdle. Seems unbelievable that the SP has only broken above $4 six times before today since the first run from 28c in mid 2020. The only time it stayed above $4 for longer 3 weeks was on the way to $9 were it stayed above for 8 months. 5 failed attempts at $4 shows the importance here. 3 attempts didn't last the week, 1 lasted less than 2 weeks and the last attempt less than 3 weeks.
Interestingly the first 2 failed attempts had negligible shorting activity. The last 3 failed attempts have seen shorting activity continue to increase to statistically very high percentages for ASX listed companies. With the higher highs and higher lows since the bottom at $2.71 and now the break of a year long down trend line this is going to be interesting to watch. How strong are these shorters actually, how many bullets are left.
Time to really pay attention to trading action over the next number of weeks.
