That's where public and apartment charging infrastructure comes in.
New apartments in my neck of the woods have charging bays in the apartment complex. I agree it won't be solved overnight, that's why nobody is banning new petrol cars for at least another 10 - 15 years. There will still be a used market for petrol cars for many decades.
