I don't think I'll ever "understand" market reactions.
WTC also released results and they are up 9% while CTD is down 20% Both had, IMO, pretty decent half year reports.
Let's compare. WTC revenue and profit are a bit less than double CTD. Yet the market cap of WTC is over $26B compared to CTD of under $3B
I acknowledge they are very different businesses, but there's no logic in the vastly different values and reactions of these companies given their comparative underlying fundamentals.
