I think you missed the point. No one begrudges the company for broadcasting that “IVZ are in a position to show they made the 2nd largest discovery in sub Saharan Africa. After only 2 wells the odds of making any sort of discovery is very low for any company drilling in wild cat areas.” In fact one expects it as a matter of course.
The issue is they just made this exact same announcement a few weeks ago. THAT’s why it “reeks of desperation.” Regurgitating old news and packaging it as something new is not an encouraging sign. Has nothing to do with the success of their drilling program to date.
