2007 it crashed from $13.15 to $1.13 and BHP went from $54 to $20.
That was the time to buy. I came in at $9 sold at $7.50 then re entered at $2.57 I think it was.

Cleared out everything Jan 2020 due to a virus that was coming and knew what that would do to the stock market.
FMG got as low as $8.20 in 2020 then I bought in at av price of just over $9 and its basically
    3 folded since.

Top up in market corrections and crashes.

Come the day of ex date the stock will fall by the amount of the dividend and stay low until its paid out and then rise again
which often happens but not always.

My PLS no divvy but my CSR are being taken over by a French company so they are zooming up today.
So its not all bad news. Best to have shares over a few stocks in case something goes bad to one of them.

Lithium and nickle stocks are in strife now and the ore price keeps on falling pushing many to the wall.
Iron ore about the safest stock there is.

BHP has nickle and its why their div is only $1.10 where ours is $1.08 at FMG.
Think people that rely on divs will start moving their cash to FMG.

The only worry is China has plans to get iron ore from Africa next year. Its not a lot of iron ore and that may or may not effect prices
that much. We will find out next year.
