You may well be right about Bec for you surely follow it more closely than myself.

My point is that there is plenty to do for a small group and if there was some news that could be shared to help boost the SP I am sure we would hear about it ASAP. If your assumption about CellPryme is spot on and I do not doubt you are right - then I would have no objection to having it released upon completion. I do not understand why you would think that I would object?

Yes the share price has taken a battering and many feel the loss especially if they need the money now. But that is the nature of all speculative investments - they rise and fall on a whim and there is nothing management can do other than meet commitments. There is no balance sheet adjustments, no staff to sack, and no alternative research to turn too to boost shareholder sentiment.

It is obvious to me that SYC in particular is being blamed for the loss of SP, hence individuals loss of book value. To me the logic is that he alone can only be blamed if 1. He made the individuals decision to invest or 2. That he has done something illegal and I am sure he did neither.
I cannot understand the fact that many people expect an almost continuous SP increase and definitely no SP retracement from a small speculative biotech. Such expectations defy the logic of the buyer/seller marketplace. A few disgruntled traders can start a rout or in this case a prolonged downturn because he didn't tell them what he will be doing next week or did last week when it is none of their business.
I blame SYC for being far too friendly and allowing phone and email conversations with all and as-sundry for it leads to the current situation where he would be on the phone or email all day every day or making small changes to the almost monthly webcasts rather than doing his job. What could be said? "I cannot find a new cancer treatment this week to boost the SP, I can only complete the work in progress and hope to find another way of boosting the SP next week" or more correctly "I can walk through water and pass water but am unable to walk on water"

I do not know SYC as in we have never met but he seems to me to be as expected and my BS detector does not get triggered in any communication - which is rare for me. I have made a lot of money and lost a lot of money from various investments and in most complex organizations the boss takes the blame for the bad SP gyrations and is revered for the good ones.
With speculative biotech's it is different where almost all investments fail to reach approval. Anyone investing in biotech's that does not understand that is out of their depth. I expect PTX 100, CellPryme and OmniCAR to ultimately reach approval for they appear to be far better than what is available. I will however exit in an instance if something new appears that changes that expectation.

I find the current whining, blame shifting and expectation of near term magical solutions to the SP from SYC a lot of rot and commend those that have the smarts or wherewithal to take advantage of those that exit prematurely to crystalize a loss. That is the nature of investing in speculative stocks - if you don't know which end is up then you are surely in trouble.
