Can Aus manufacture to compete with China?

IMO yes; in niche markets such as Green Aluminium,
green steel and select food products.

    because:
    (a) we have abundance of cheap minerals
    (b) potentially we have abundance of green electricity
    (c) Annual multi cropping

    What are the impediments?
    -lack of self confidence
    -lack of capital
-lack of Government resolve (we have adopted political Neo-Liberalism since the 80s as advocated by the Multinationals)

    The solution:
-Well devised manufacturing hubs within Aus owned SEZs to counter our weaknesses and exploit our strengths.

The EV manufacturing market is growing rapidly (led by China) and we have FTAs
with the global leaders....China, Japan, USA, Korea . & Thailand. So there is no issue
in tapping these markets with niche Green products , IMO.

A useful Government policy could be:
-That Australia exports Green EV manufactured/semi-manufactured products
to offset the importation of EVs.
