"The China haters need to give it a rest..."
Just so long as we remember China is in it for China. We benefit because we have a lot of what China needs. It is not very long since Covid was a BIG worry to the world, and when Australia suggested its source should be investigated all sorts of 'reasons' emerge for China to tear up a number of perfectly reasonable contracts on lots of our exports!!
Incidentally, I cannot imagine why any country would not want the source of a dreadful pandemic like Covid investigated. Working out how it happened might well help prevent/reduce future such events???
