the trouble with just using the bank platform is your trading data is used by the platform. They see your bid or sell and they manipulate the rank ie move you up and down to suit want they want

eg broker has a sell order for 1m shares and I want to sell mine. I will always go behind that order. If I want to buy they will manipulate me to the top.

retail are just fodder to be manipulated

i never leave an order waiting to be filled unless im confident it moving in the direction i want ie momentum.
