I think it's too early for EV utes at this stage for general acceptance outside of maybe tradies in a city or similar
but, by the way it's going - EV utes and heavy vehicles will be the choice of all - even for long outback travel inside 10 years at a guess.
they've got it all philosophically and once they develop more - better batteries, better range and we start to explore things like remote charging -
I think EV's will be all over our trusty and reliable old diesels.
As always though - effectiveness will come down to personal use, power management and knowledge etc
god knows one sees how little people know when one sees newbies in camping vehicles, exploration vehicles and boats
