I've always thought Commsec was being unnecessarily generous by giving SW customers free access to valuable data, when the customers aren't actually paying Commsec a cent and are just using them for the freebies.

Why not just add a condition that you must trade say, at least once per quarter, or hold at least $30k in assets with them, to qualify for the free data? Otherwise, it's $10/month. '

Something like this would seem to simultaneously hurt their competitors like Selfwealth, and boost their own revenue.

Has the risk been discussed here that someday, this loophole of using Commsec for the free data and SW for trades won't be viable and the impact that will have on SW?
