Yes SL can be hit within minutes unless you have a decent amount of capital to cover the margin .. so many times in CFDs I'll have the overall direction right but you get a spike against you that will take you out before the trend continues your way .. of course moving your SL further away can fix this ..
CFDs have their place and I can fully see how they can reward the right call massively ..had a few go my way and double my capital within an couple hours .. had I just keeped my position would have turned hundreds into 10's thousands within a week ... (was Palladium short early in the COVID period 2020)
the SNAS ETF is much slower-moving .. even though I was 300pt out of the money (On ASX close) total position -4.3% ...been holding since early FEB....hardly the huge movement for all the HYPE around the NDX
