    Great post @gerfovitch

I think we all need to calm down a little.

And calls for SN to step down are ridiculous. First because most of the volume trade prior to the trading halt was index rebalancing as evidenced by the share price holding up so well. That doesn’t mean there weren’t people with inside information selling at the same time. And while this is disappointing, and a mark against the company’s reputation, none of us were complaining when ‘inside information’ was being shared by chadelaide and others in the past. And the reality is, no drilling site is a hermetically sealed container.

I think it is natural when people lose money, to look for someone to blame. Sure, the company needs be better at communicating and controlling information leaks from the drill site. I think SN assumed we’ve gotten big enough so the company wouldn’t be buffeted so much by Chinese whispers anymore (eg. Look at how Beach and MIN release info). This might have been a bit of wishful thinking.

However, calling for investigations that will lead nowhere or for SN to step down, adding to the hysteria, is not only unjustified but counterproductive, handing another ‘free kick’ to those who wish to exploit Strike’s (hopefully temporary) weakness.

Just ask yourself who benefits from that cartoon published in the West Australian? Not shareholders, that’s for sure.

Sad to see you go @gimo211. Love your posts. Hopefully we see you back once the smoke clears.
For me, I just look at the assets and the price and know the company has been through far worse and emerged stronger for it, and unless there is another bad announcement out of the blue, I can’t justify selling at anything in the 20 cents, especially not when several companies will be very interested in acquiring our assets, and with cash flowing into the coffers as we speak.
