TV shows like "can we help" on abc tv show very clearly what a big hole a mother or father leaves in their child's life when they are separated at a young age for whatever reason. The emotional outpouring is palpable. Children genuinely have an innate need for love and affirmation from their natural parents otherwise they feel rejected. We live this in my family because of a selfish decision a parent made years ago.
