water in both holes after positive wirelogs is gross misconduct no matter how you frame it.
You might explain to me how you find the gas water contact (GWC) with wireline because I don't have a clue how it can be be done.
My thinking is:
1 You have to to the wireline testing before the bottom casing is installed.
2 The well must remain overbalanced with drilling fluids otherwise gas will just flow out. I believe this means that you can't use a change in the pressure profile with depth.
3 You can't infer the GWC from a change in the resistivity of the foundation water because these will be mixed with the drilling fluids while drilling.
A genuine question because your use of the words "gross misconduct" is a pretty strong statement.
