I've always had an interest in geography/topography, loved map reading in the army, but never had any formal education in it.
When fault 1066 came to light I thought back to looking at the HGO open pit area on Google earth and not recalling any great variations in elevation in the vicinity. I know, in geological terms, given enough time mountains can be weathered away, but despite what appears to me to be a vertical slippage of about 400m (see Fig 3 in annual report), the surrounding area doesn't show any sign of it.
Any wonder it went unnoticed until recently.
I must admit when you brought up a bloke from Ebor, I initially thought you were trying to change the course of discussion in the thread, you know a "look over there" moment.
Just as an aside, am I wrong or has the bot changed tactics today and is now trying to keep the price at 5.9 cents, yesterday it seemed to be trying to prop the price up? I do wish it would bugger off and let the market do its own thing.
