    Hi Verge,
    That sounds awfully cheap even for Corowa
    my thoughts on Corowa....
    Corowa went thru a boom around 2004, and I have heard some of the bigger retailers have opened up down there since then....I believe the retailers need a population of min 3000 to even look at the place...
    I was under the impression Corowa's population surged from about 3000 to 6000 in just 2-3 years...

    it used to be a very busy place, years ago....with bus loads of gamblers every weekend...for the nsw casinos on the border.... but that all stopped when Vic introduced casinos's...
    there were loads of rented props, all belonging to city folk at one stage for a similar reason...
    and Melbournians used to flock there for the Golf and wineries at weekends and hols...

    When I lived in Albury years ago, I went to Corowa for the big Melb Cup day races, every year.... and over the years went there for the horse races, and horse shows etc....my family had racehorses, a brother was a jockey, another did a training stint, and I had pleasure and show hacks...
    It was a small town, but always buzzing with outdoor activites, and people came from everywhere for those activites....I rarely ever stopped in town, the main drag, I was always too busy going to some activity around the town....
    I recently, had a quick thought, that maybe I should look at living there myself....but denounced it just as quickly, as I am happy enough with Albury....
    I would not hesitate to buy an investment property there though...especially with the expected flow on from the Oaklands mine
    what are the builders like, if one wanted to build a nice big house there....is there much of a choice or do they travel in from other towns...
